Lust

In February 2011 at London Fashion Week AW11, this was the moment that everyone started lusting.

..and now everyone has something new and shiny to covet, inspired by the AW11 Jonathan Saunders collection – his collaboration with Smythson.

With another London Fashion Week behind us and the weekend before us, I’ve put together a few of my favourite songs which I heard on the catwalks.

Listen HERE

Plus don’t forget Matthew Williamson’s ‘Collection for LFW’ CD is out on Monday.  You can buy it from iTunes, Amazon, HMV, Play as well as selected contemporary fashion boutiques. A limited number of albums are already on sale in Matthew Williamson stores and online at www.matthewwilliamson.com

The CD features the likes of Marlena Shaw, The Temper Trap, Best Coast, Róisín Murphy, The Raveonettes,  Santigold,  Cold War Kids and Caribou.  Check out the full track listing and more info ——————————————————–> here

DAY FOUR

I was delighted that Day Four i.e. Monday 21st was another late start so I could get some writing done in the morning. In fact, it was a rather chilled out day in general.  I set up in the Vauxhall Fashion Scout press lounge mainly to get some writing done!

I started the day at 15.30 with A La Disposition.  The collection, entitled ‘A Utopian Aviary’ was not only conceptually but quite literally influenced by birds.  The soundtrack even included the sound of birds’ wings flapping.  Check out the statement collars on these bad boys.  And such gorgeous colours.

I then popped to the Bunmi Koko show.  Another title – ‘Kaleidoscopia’ – and another display of colour in all its glory.  Personally, though, I wasn’t into these technicolour prints and was more taken with the demure looks and masterful drapery, particularly of the cobalt blue trouser suit.  Yum.

Two fabulously vivid shows.

Take your pick!

AW11 – London Fashion Week starts tomorrow

Tomorrow AW11 LFW begins.

While we’re all very excited about the shows, everyone’s just as interested in what the editors, buyers and off-duty models will be wearing.  Some inspiration…

While I can’t promise I’ll look as sleek and funky as this lot, I can promise outfit updates on this here blog courtesy of my photographer friend Alessandro Vasapolli.

Stay tuned..
